Still looking for help?

Does the 10d MA have to be above the 50, 20 and 200d MA?

Original Question: When you say above 10dma is it means it should be above 50dma 20dma 200dma or irrespective of 20 50 200 dma

The position of the 20d MA with respect to the others has no meaning in a long setup. I actually removed the 20d MA from all my charts recently. However I still use it in short sale trades as a trailing stop loss above price.

I also rarely -if ever- would consider any stock trading below it’s 50d MA and 200d MA to be actionable at all. You also want the 50d MA to be above the 200d MA but this is not a hard rule.

To answer your question: I want the 10d MA to be at or above the 50d MA and 200d MA when pulling the trigger on long setups.
